Kyoto the 1st day

In order to meet the departure time of the night bus which cost 5,000 yen, I had to take a taxi and spent 4,600 yen. Uh, something wrong. But anyway the fact that I managed to get the bus is much better than the fiasco I did in Australia.

This time, I stay a backpacker’s called Gekkoso. They charge only 10,000 yen for one-week dormitory room, which is amazingly cheap as a Japanese accommodation. Actually, as a person who travels alone, I don’t need to indulge in staying luxurious accommodations. Besides, it’s nice to have people to make chats at the accommodation.
Shooting photos at daytime and shooting the breeze at evening, I’ll enjoy this relaxing life which is totally different from Tokyo and ponder over some issues.

Cafe Salasa
Cafe Salasa
This cafe was renovated from an old public bath, and it’s atmosphere is very unique. At the concept level, this can be one of my top3 list of cafes in Japan. It would be nice to bring a book and spend relaxed times.

Daitokuji Kotoin

10 minutes walking from the accommodation, the breeze flowing from the building to the garden was just beautiful. In fact there are other buildings in this temple area. Maybe I can try them later.

Due to the last day’s rain, the blossoms have already started dispersing. Though I couldn’t capture the contrast of blue sky and pink blossoms, it was absolutely impressing. I walked through the road for two hours in total before I noticed.

Going to Kyoto

I’m going to Kyoto from tonight by night bus and stay there for a week. It’s been quite a while since I took a long holiday before! I might go to Osaka and Kobe if I can afford time to do so.

This is a relatively small trip comparing to the one I made in Australia but Iike this form of elation before travels.

There will be WiFi available at the accommodation I’m going to stay, so I’ll try to keep update photos and travelogues.
I really wish there are some Sakura remain there despite the wet weather for these days.

Sakura

sakura

Couple of weeks ago, I went to Izu, one of the most prominent hot spring spots in Japan for holiday, and luckily there were full of exquisite blooms at that time. Planted along a long long slope, it seemed as though one continuous tunnel was made by the trees. Although it was unfortunately too cloudy to capture the vivid contrast between blue sky and pink flowers, I suppose, these photos still expresses the beauty.
I had missed two seasons of sakura for I’d been in Australia at the same days in 2005 and 2006. Looking the blooms after a long absence is actually very inpressive. It’s already gone at Tokyo though, I’m very looking forwad to see it next year.

Leaving from Perth

leaving from Perth

I’ve at last left Perth this Sunday. Since I use a train to move to Melbourne as well as the last trip, I’m in backpackers at Adelaide and writing this entry.

So quickly has the time gone by, 16months have already passed since I arrived Australia.
Since then I’ve been studying English intensively and ,I suppose, making good improvement.

Now, I have strange and paradoxical feeling at leaving Perth. Not only do I feel melancholy to leave my friends but also I’m so excited to start my new life. At first when I left my house where I stayed more than one year, I actually really felt torment. At that time, unfortunately nobody could help me to move out from there and consequently I had to do everything by myself. I felt lonely and cried a little bit indeed.
But after that, I was staying a backpackers in Fremantle and met my friends as much as I can. Probably, it made me ready to go.
I don’t wanna look back old pleasant days as if I lost them.
I should look ahead to the future and sometimes reminisce about the days for spiritual nourishment.

In Melbourne I’m going to stay my auntie’s house for a while and study about designing again. I need to catch up recent techniques and styles, particularly flash 8 and so on.
Probably, I’ll go back to Japan middle or beginning of September. Until then, I will break my leg earnestly again.
